Quebec Country Inns and Fall Colors Driving Vacation 6 days / 5 nights
Trip Overview
Explore the quaint villages of Quebec during the most striking season - Fall. In eastern Canada the colors are world-famous because it is the native maples and oaks, and the combination of cold nights and warm sunny days, that give the woods their amazing bloom, and make the world seem so vivid and precious.Trip Images

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Your Canada Vacation Package Begins - Arrival in Montreal
After settling into your hotel explore this unique cosmopolitan city at your own pace. Walk around the Old Town, with its cobbled streets, stone buildings, and rich maritime history; marvel at the creativity of street entertainers and the sophistication of the shopping; or sit in an outdoor cafe and sample some of the wonderful French food and wine that is a feature of this journey. Overnight in Montreal.
Day 2 – Laurentian Mountains
This morning pick up your hire-car and begin your journey, traveling at your own pace into the gently rolling Laurentian Mountains, which in late September and early October are in full autumnal show. Prepare to stop at regular intervals as you come across yet another tree or wood that is particularly gorgeous or set in a picture-perfect landscape of pastures and old barns. Overnight at the private lakeside property - Chateau Beauvallon located minutes away from Mont-Tremblant Resort.
Day 3 - Mont-Tremblant
Today we suggest a little light activity to embrace that warm, fresh Fall air - and your package includes a 5 activity card. This card allows you access to a wide range of activities at Tremblant resort at lower prices and you can choose when you want to do them. Here are some of the options to keep you busy for the day:
- One Alpine Luge Ride
- 10 minutes on the climbing wall
- 60 minutes of bike rental
- round of mini-golf
- Snack-lunch trio at Le Grand Manitou on the summit
- 60 minutes of a non-motorized watercraft rental (canoe, pedal-boat, kayak)
And plenty more options. Overnight in Tremblant.
Day 4 – Tremblant to Saint Paulin
Drive a few hours through beautiful scenery to Saint Paulin and the Auberge Le Baluchon for an overnight stay. The Baluchon Lodge located in the Trois Riveres region of Quebec. Stay in quaint lodges designed to integrate with the unique setting of woods and water. You'll also be enchanted by the beauty of the surrounding area with its islands, rivers, waterfalls, and forests - especially at this time of year. There are plenty of activities at this lodge to keep you busy from mountain biking, horseback riding to canoeing.
Day 5 - Saint Paulin to Quebec City
Spend the morning at the Auberge Baluchon taking in that last outdoor activity before you continue on your scenic drive - this time along the St Lawrence River to the provincial capital, Quebec City. There after settling into your cozy hotel you may join a tour to learn about the fascinating history of this walled city - the Latin Quarter, the Plains of Abraham and the Citadel, to name a few. Overnight in Quebec City.
Day 6 – Depart Quebec City
Your Quebec Fall Colours self-drive ends today as you check out from your hotel in Quebec City and make your way to the airport either in Quebec City or Montreal for your return flight home.
