Day 1 – Your Adventure Begins
Begin your journey in the prairie metropolis of Calgary, famous for its cowboy culture. Transfer to the tranquil mountain town of Banff, surrounded by snowy mountain peaks. Sleep in this Rocky Mountain community, enjoying the crisp alpine air as the sun sets behind the mountains.

No need to worry about finding a place to eat this evening, have a superb meal in the best setting that ensures you make memories from the very beginning.
Day 2 – Day in Banff
Enjoy an entire day of exploring in the picturesque mountain town. Hike through the pine-scented forests, stroll along the banks of the rushing Bow River, visit the museums and heritage sites or go shopping at the stylish and quirky boutiques along Banff Avenue.

• Option 1: Banff Sightseeing Tour
Explore the historic sights, hear the folklore, and visit scenic viewpoints surrounding the Banff town site on a small group bus tour.

Wake up early to experience the magical wilderness of Banff National Park at sunrise. Explore with a private guide and learn how to take great photos. Ideal for the amateur photographer wanting to increase their skills with a manual camera. This is a sure way to make friends and family at home jealous!

Day 3 – Sightseeing in Banff and Lake Louise
Embark on a tour of the Canadian Rockies with a guide today - explore the unspoiled wilderness and marvel at the canyons, lakes and other natural attractions. Meander down the winding mountain roads to Lake Louise, a stunning turquoise lake that reflects the rocky peaks around it.
Your guide is highly knowledgeable about the area and will reveal fascinating insights about the history of this town. The tour group will be small, so that you have a more intimate and personal experience.
Upon arrival in the Lake Louise area, you can either choose to stay at the iconic Chateau Lake Louise, or at the intimate Moraine Lake Lodge.
This evening you’ll relax and refresh with an indulgent dining experience. Surrounded by spectacular lake views and attentive service, indulge in a 3-course meal in Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise’s Fairview Dining Room, or Moraine Lake’s Walter Wilcox dining room.
Day 4 – Visit the Icefields Parkway and Travel from Lake Louise to Jasper
You have 2 options from which to choose today:
• Option 1: Small Group Sightseeing Tour
Imagine walking across the icy surface of an enormous glacier surrounded by majestic mountains. The Columbia Icefield is one of the biggest and most accessible icefields south of the Arctic Circle. On this tour you will visit this glacier in a small group, giving you a chance to experience it in a more intimate and memorable way. Step down from the Ice Explorer vehicle, with its massively impressive wheels, and fill your bottle with million-year old ice water. Walk along the Glacier Skywalk and enjoy the nerve-wracking view from the cliff-hugging platform, with nothing but glass separating you from a 918-foot chasm. Keep a lookout for wildlife while exploring this part of the Rockies, there is a good chance that you will spot moose, elk, bears or mountain goats on your explorations. Feast on a delicious picnic and then arrive in the small mountain town of Jasper.

• Option 2: Private Icefields Tour with Helicopter Experience
Spend the day with a private driver-guide, to explore the Icefields at your own pace. Then, step away from the crowds and take a helicopter tour abundant in natural beauty, glaciers and waterfalls. Leave from an exclusive Icefields base and soar over Cline Pass and over Cline, Lion and Lioness Glaciers. You’ll also view a spectacular 900ft waterfall flowing from two aqua green lakes!

Day 5 – Adventures in Jasper National Park
Spend the day exploring the jewel of the Rockies, Jasper.
You have 3 options to choose from today to help you enjoy Jasper to its fullest.
• Option 1: Nature Tour with Cruise on Maligne Lake
Admire the pristine wilderness of Jasper National Park and hike through the Maligne Valley with your guide. Take a walk through Maligne Canyon, where the clear rushing river waters have carved through the rocks over millions of years. Keep your eyes peeled – you might spot a deer or an elk nibbling on a tree branch as you walk by. Cruise along peaceful Maligne Lake, a deep green body of water surrounded by colorful wildflowers. Listen to the chirping birds and gaze up at the bright blue sky – this is a little slice of Rocky Mountain paradise.

• Option 2: Privately Guided Nature Walk
Stroll for a while amongst the stunning mountain scenery, on this professionally guided interpretive walk through Jasper National Park. An intimate tour that allows you to really connect with nature. See wildlife, admire rare alpine wildflowers, and magnificent valley views.
Activity rating: Moderate (approx 4 miles | 6.5km) – more challenging hikes are available on request
• Option 3: Sidecar Motorcycle Tour
A sightseeing tour unlike any other for 1 or 2 passengers. Feel the wind in your hair in the sidecar of a powerful Harley Davidson touring motorcycle! View famous lakes, historical viewpoints and attractions of the Jasper area. This option is a definite memory-maker.

Day 6 – The Rocky Mountaineer – Jasper to Kamloops
Settle into the luxurious Rocky Mountaineer bright and early in the morning and sip a steaming mug of coffee as the train pulls out of the station. Ride south west through the Cariboo and Monashee mountains and admire the stunning vistas from your windows – from the cascading waters of Pyramid Falls to the sky-grazing peaks of Mount Robson. Arrive in the peaceful town of Kamloops where you stay in a hotel for the night.
Day 7 – The Rocky Mountaineer – Kamloops to Vancouver
The Rocky Mountaineer takes you further west toward the vibrant coastal city of Vancouver. The huge peaks of the Rocky Mountains turn into rugged foothills as you travel into the dry interior of British Columbia. Then, as you enter the coastal mountains, you will be surrounded by rushing rivers, lush forests and steep slopes. Stop at the impressive Hell’s Gate and watch torrents of water rush through the canyon, sending a cloud of mist all the way up to the observation deck.
Keep an eye out for wildlife here too – there is a good chance that you will spot some of the animal inhabitants of the area.
In the evening you will arrive in Vancouver, a hip, modern and very friendly metropolis. Surrounded by ocean, forest and mountains, it is incredibly scenic and has a fun, laid back, outdoor-loving vibe. Capture a great photo of your surroundings from the top of the Vancouver Lookout Tower. This is your last night in Canada – the Alaska portion of the adventure will begin tomorrow.
Day 8 – Boarding the Alaska Cruise
Say goodbye to Vancouver this morning after enjoying a fresh cup of coffee and a hot breakfast at one of the many friendly local cafes in the city. Then, check out and board the ship for the cruising part of your trip. You’ll fall in love with the elegant design, the beautiful artwork and the welcoming staff that make the ship feel just like home while you cruise the Inside Passage.
Day 9 – Into the North
Enjoy an Alaskan cruise along the inside passage and admire views of tiny islands covered in lush forests. You’ll also spot the occasional small community along the way. Watch fishing boats float by and keep a lookout for whales. It will be toasty and warm on the ship, or you can bundle up and enjoy the crisp air on the deck while snapping photos of the stunning scenery.
Day 10 – Arriving in Juneau, Alaska
Arrive in Juneau, a picturesque small city with a fascinating history, surrounded by rugged wilderness. Take a whale watching or fishing trip or go for a hike in the wild and beautiful Tongass National Forest. Go shopping in the quirky boutiques and local shops to get a feel for the character of the town. Dinner tonight will be served in the grand dining room of the ship.
Day 11 – Arriving in Skagway, Alaska
Explore this historic city, made famous by the Gold Rush over 100 years ago. As you wander through the streets you will get a sense of what it would have been like to visit these old-fashioned shop fronts in that early era. The Trail of 98 Museum offers fantastic insight into the Gold Rush days and the history of Skagway. After exploring this city, spend the evening in comfort in your spacious cabin on the ship.
Day 12 – Cruise Glacier Bay
As the ship glides through the peaceful waters of Glacier Bay, admire the tranquil beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve. It is a protected area that’s home to a wide range of animals and plants. Stand on the deck of the ship and gaze at this amazing icy environment, taking the opportunity to get a stunning photo of an enormous iceberg as they float by.
Day 13 – Arriving in Ketchikan, Alaska
In the remote city of Ketchikan, marvel at the world’s largest collection of totem poles and get a fascinating glimpse into the rich heritage of the Haida, Tlingit and Tsimshian people. Bring home a hand-carved mini-totem pole of your own as a reminder of your visit to this spiritual place. Visit the Tongass Historical Museum and Creek Street, then return to the ship to relax in the evening.
Day 14 – Cruising the Inside Passage from Alaska to Canada
Take the journey back through the stunning Inside Passage down to Canada. On your second journey through this beautiful landscape, get your camera ready to catch the amazing views that you missed the first time.
Day 15 – Leaving Vancouver
On the last day of your journey enjoy one more delicious breakfast with the friends you have made on your trip – it’s wonderful how shared experiences of beautiful places can create a bond between strangers. Today you will transfer to Vancouver Airport and leave behind the pristine scenery of Canada and Alaska – but the memories that you have made on this experience will last a lifetime.
