Itinerary

Note: This trip is available in the reverse direction. All of our Canada vacation packages can be personalized to suit your time frame, budget, group size, and interests.

Day 1 – Arrive in
Vancouver
Start your tour in Vancouver, a city that often tops lists of the “Most Desirable Places to Live in the World.” This coastal metropolis has a laid-back vibe, a thriving art scene and stunning surroundings of mountains and ocean. Why not start your trip with a guided bicycle tour of Vancouver so that you can see all that the city has to offer? Or, simply sit back and enjoy some excellent cuisine in the fresh air on the patio of one of Vancouver’s best restaurants.

Feature Dinner in Vancouver
You have travelled all day, and we want to make sure you eat at a spot that encapsulates the best of Vancouver. Enjoy dinner at a harbourfront restaurant, and watch majestic seaplanes coming into land all while enjoying the best of West Coast cuisine. Your vacation is off to a great start!

Day 2 – Rocky Mountaineer – Vancouver to Kamloops
Watch the early morning skies through the train windows as you eat your freshly cooked breakfast and sip your coffee. This morning the Rocky Mountaineer leaves Vancouver and ventures deep into the rugged wilderness of the Canadian Rockies.

As you relax and dine in comfort on the luxurious train, feast your eyes on the stunning landscapes outside. Climb the steep incline of Fraser Canyon and marvel at the spectacular rush of water at Hell’s Gate. Continue along to the dry landscapes of the desert interior and arrive in Kamloops in the late afternoon. Enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of this small Canadian town.

Day 3 – On the Rocky Mountaineer Train – Kamloops to Lake Louise
Wake up buzzing with excitement on the train this morning – this is the day when you will see the Canadian Rockies for the first time! As the train weaves through incredible landscapes hewn from jagged rock and dotted with wind-swept pines, you can listen to commentary about the history of the region and the railway.

There is a good chance you might spot one of the wild residents of the area, from bald eagles to bears or elk, so keep a look out! The train travels into the remarkable Spiral Tunnels, passageways that were blasted directly through the mountains. As you exit the dark tunnels you will emerge to find yourself surrounded by rugged snowcapped peaks that take your breath away. Spend the night at one of two iconic lakeside locations – the intimate Moraine Lake Lodge, or the grand Chateau Lake Louise.

Feature Dinner in Lake Louise
No matter how you choose to tour, this evening you’ll relax and refresh with an indulgent dining experience. Surrounded by spectacular lake views and attentive service, indulge in a 3-course meal in Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise’s Fairview Dining Room, or Moraine Lake’s Walter Wilcox Dining Room.

Day 4 – Lake Louise to Banff
It’s up to you today... simply relax, soak in the views, and enjoy free time. Or, ask us for our Lake Louise Activity Menu, from which you can choose activities such as a guided hike to Lake Agnes Tea House, a scenic ride up the Lake Louise Sightseeing Gondola with a visit to the Wildlife Interpretive Centre, or Afternoon Tea at the Chateau.

In the afternoon, you head out on a guided interpretive transfer to the lively mountain town of Banff. Enjoy the happy and welcoming vibe here as you peruse the quirky boutiques of Banff Avenue or hike along the many scenic trails.

Day 5 – Exploring Banff
On a crisp Rocky Mountain morning, you will wake up to the sounds of mountain songbirds before exploring this lovely town and the surrounding wilderness.

You have
3 options to choose from today to help you enjoy Banff to its fullest.

Option 1: Banff Sightseeing Tour
Find out why Banff has become so fam
ous – explore historic sights, hear the folklore, and visit the town’s beautiful view points on a 3-hour tour.

Activity rating:
Moderate

• Option 3: Banff Helicopter Tour
