Day 1 – Arrive in Vancouver
Vancouver is a vibrant and exciting city with a welcoming vibe. Today you arrive in Vancouver and have some time to enjoy it before you start your train trip, so take a walk in Stanley Park, dine al fresco at a restaurant, check out some of the quirky shops and art galleries or contact us to arrange a tour of your interest.

Day 2 – In Vancouver
Today it’s your choice - you have 3 options to choose from to help you enjoy Vancouver and get a great glimpse of the city with a friendly and knowledgeable guide.

Find out why Vancouver is consistently voted one of the world’s most livable cities. Day 3 – Rocky Mountaineer Train – Vancouver to Kamloops
The smell of freshly roasted coffee and the crisp morning air rejuvenates you as the Rocky Mountaineer train pulls out of Vancouver. The train whistle sounds and your amazing Canadian journey begins.

On the first leg of your trip, you will travel through the interior of British Columbia and marvel at the steep walls of Fraser Canyon and the thundering water of Hell’s Gate. Relax in the laidback and luxurious atmosphere of the train and watch the views go by. The train will arrive in the small and welcoming town of Kamloops where you will stay overnight.

Day 4 – Kamloops to Banff
On your second day aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, the scenery gets even more spectacular as you approach the Rocky Mountains. You’ll be glued to the window gazing at the enormous snowcapped peaks and looking out for elk, deer, bald eagles, moose and bears.

Travel through the amazing Spiral Tunnels, where you’ll plunge into the momentary darkness of passageways blasted through the mountains. Arrive in the charming mountain resort town of Banff and stay overnight.

Day 5 – Banff – The Canadian Rockies
Welcome to Banff - a small and friendly town surrounded by a stunning backdrop of towering mountain peaks. Breathe in the fresh alpine air and walk down Banff Avenue to see the many lovely local shops, galleries and restaurant.

Day 6 – Banff to Lake Louise

• Option 1: Small Group Sightseeing Tour

Take an informative cruise on Maligne Lake, visit scenic Spirit Island and learn how Medicine Lake is mysteriously disappearing.

Day 9 and 10 – Canadian Train Journey East
As you leave the mountains, the scenery begins to flatten out as you enter the vast plains of the prairies. Fields of golden canola stretch all the way to the horizon and the big skies are a panoramic theatre for the rolling white clouds. The prairie landscapes are beautifully empty, punctuated with the odd red barn, oil rig or grain silo. Gaze out at the part of Canada that author W.O. Mitchell described as “the least common denominator of nature, the skeleton requirements simply, of land and sky.”

Day 11 – Arrive in Toronto
Discover Toronto’s many unique and colourful neighbourhoods. Included in your trip is a hop on / off pass for the next two days, to let you explore the city with ease.

Seasonal Restrictions:
• Icefields Parkway tour is available from April 25 until October 3 for eastbound departures, coach transfer will be substituted prior to April 25 for eastbound departures.
• Maligne Lake cruise runs from May 30 to October 3 for eastbound departures, weather conditions may cause season delays.
• The privately guided nature walk in Jasper is available from April 25 to October 3 for eastbound departures (westbound departures: April 28 onwards), for best walking and hiking conditions we recommend taking this tour in June or later.
• Montreal small group sightseeing tour is available from May 18 to Oct 24, on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays. Your Vacation Advisor can substitute an alternative sightseeing tour by vehicle when this tour is unavailable.

The Hornblower Voyage to the Falls is available from early May to late October (weather dependent). In the off-season tour will be substituted with the Journey Behind the Falls.
The Glacier Skywalk is available from early May to late October
