Day 1 – Pan Canadian Bear Viewing Adventure Begins in Vancouver
As the perfect combination of nature and big city, it’s no wonder that Vancouver’s population continues to grow. Depending on your arrival time, you might want to just relax and watch the world go by with latte in hand, or get out and explore on foot or by bicycle.

Day 2 – Fly to Campbell River
This morning, fly to Campbell River and check in to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the “Salmon Fishing Capital of the World”. Today is the day to make sure you have all your camera film, memory cards, and batteries ready to go for your adventure tomorrow.

Days 3 – Up Close with Grizzly Bears
Get ready to begin an exciting few days of grizzly bear tours, adventure, and relaxing. The flight heading for Knight Inlet Lodge takes roughly 30 minutes. Spend the rest of the day participating in one of several activities available at the lodge, including kayaking, hiking, and wildlife viewing or spend the day on a grizzly bear tour.

Day 4 – Knight Inlet Lodge
Your grizzly bear viewing at the rustic Knight Inlet Lodge continues. Relax in the vast west coast wilderness, choose a lodge activity, or go grizzly bear viewing accompanied by an experienced guide. The choices are limitless!

Day 5 – Knight Inlet Lodge/Campbell River to Vancouver
Get up early to soak in the fresh wilderness air, perhaps spotting a grazing deer or two as you sip your coffee. Today you fly back to Campbell River, and then onwards to Vancouver. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the sights and sounds of the city.

Day 6 – Day in Vancouver & Board VIA Rail’s Canadian Train
You have 3 options to choose from today to explore Vancouver.

• Option 1: The North Shore Sightseeing Tour
Vancouver is consistently voted one of the world’s most livable cities as it is uniquely situated between mountains and ocean. This tour allows you to venture into the local mountains and temperate rainforest. Take an exhilarating walk across the suspension bridge at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, enjoy the gondola to Grouse Mountain and enjoy an unparalleled view of Vancouver.

• Option 2: Vancouver Tour by Bicycle
The bike is a Vancouverites preferred mode of transport! With an extensive cycle lane network, this tour highlights the best of Vancouver food, history, and culture. Visit the Stanley Park seawall, savour a snack at Granville Island Public Market and see historic Gastown and Chinatown.

• Option 3: Downtown Foodie Walking Tour
With a passionate foodie and storyteller-guide, visit 5 of downtown Vancouver’s award-winning multicultural restaurants and food shops. Whilst admiring the Vancouver’s beautiful architecture and scenery, you’ll sample gourmet food paired with optional local wines and cocktails.

This evening, climb onboard the train to Winnipeg for your Canadian rail journey. Settle into your cozy private cabin for an unforgettable overnight journey.

Day 7 – VIA Rail’s Canadian Rail Journey Continues
Enjoy a full day of sights from your picture window as your train continues towards Winnipeg. Marvel at the snowcapped mountain peaks as the train weaves through the Canadian Rockies. Watch for bears, deer, elk or moose – you never know when you might spot one.

Day 8 – VIA Rail’s Canadian Train – Arrival in Winnipeg
The scenery changes as you travel across the undulating plain of the Prairie Provinces. Settle into your seat and enjoy watching the sights from your window. Arriving in Winnipeg this evening, you will have time to explore this diverse multicultural city. Known as the “Cultural Cradle of Canada,” Winnipeg is home to Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and so much more.

Day 9 – Experience Winnipeg
You have 2 options to choose from today to explore Winnipeg.

• Option 1: Winnipeg Sightseeing Tour
This popular bus tour visits crowd-pleasing sites of Winnipeg. Hear the secrets of the Legislative Building, witness the tragic history of the St. Boniface Cathedral, learn the history and international relevance of Winnipeg’s downtown, and explore where it all started – The Forks National Historic Site.

• Option 2: Assiniboine Park Zoo Admission
Minutes from downtown Winnipeg in beautiful Assiniboine Park, the zoo is home to over 150 species from around the world. The
Journey to Churchill exhibit is a definite highlight as the home to polar bears, muskoxen, Arctic fox, wolves and other northern species. Roundtrip taxi transfers included.

Overnight in downtown Winnipeg.

Day 10 – Explore Winnipeg & Meet Your Polar Bear Adventure Group
Spend the day exploring Winnipeg at your own pace. An admission to the Museum for Human Rights has been included.

• Museum for Human Rights
The first museum solely dedicated to the evolution, celebration and future of human rights. Creating inspiring encounters with human rights, the museum engages visitors in an immersive, interactive experience that offers both the inspiration and tools to make a difference in the lives of others.

This evening you will be moving to a conveniently located airport hotel to begin your polar bear adventure tomorrow. You will also have a chance to meet other participants on your tour and learn about adventures to come.

Day 11 – Journey to Churchill
Today you board a flight from Winnipeg to Churchill and journey over the tundra and plains of the north – the bird’s eye view is spectacular! Upon arrival enjoy a guided tour of the town, including a visit to the Eskimo Museum – a memorable and informative introduction to the unique culture of the north.

Days 12 & 13 – Polar Bear Viewing and Arctic Activities
Why is Churchill known as the polar bear capital of the world? Large numbers of polar bears congregate near town each fall while they wait for the ice to form on Hudson Bay. With two full days on the Tundra Buggy, seeing the bears up close is almost a sure thing! In the evening, enjoy a fascinating presentation featuring life in Churchill.

Day 14 – Churchill to Winnipeg
Set off on an exciting dog sledding excursion today. After a thorough introduction it’s off to the tundra where you’ll get to mush you own team of dogs. This excursion is designed for all ages and abilities.

This afternoon, visit the Parks Canada Interpretive Centre, where you learn more about the history, wildlife, and culture of Churchill before flying back to Winnipeg.

Day 15 – Depart Winnipeg
Your Canada vacation ends as you check-out of your hotel this morning and depart Winnipeg with fond memories made.

Note: The order of events will vary at the discretion of your guides based on their expert knowledge of wildlife behavior at the time and their desire to give you the best experience possible.
